Berry Boosting “Anytime” Smoothie

Is it possible to merge anti-oxidants, protein, Essential Fatty Acids, and delicious flavor all into one “berry tasty” smoothie? Have these ingredients handy, then simply toss in a blender for 30 seconds and voila! Ready to step out the door with plenty of energy and ability to focus! My favorite smoothie is responsible for hydrating cells, keeping skin youthful, revitilizing with protein, helping nails grow, supporting brain function and making the taste buds sing~
Yep! All in one. Now imagine doing this several times a week, and see where that gets you. If you’re anything like me, then your morning jump start needs to be something quick, easy, yummy, balanced, filling and cheap. That’s why I made this smoothie!
In a blender:
1/2 cup frozen Organic Blueberries
1 cup Almond Milk (or other non-dairy milk; see DECIDING TO GO WITHOUT DAIRY? post)
2 T. Almond Butter
1 T. Flax Seed Oil
1 T. Organic Pure Cranberry Juice (I use Lakewood)
1 serving VEGA Hemp Protein Powder, Berry Flavor
1 t. Agave Nectar (optional, sometimes I feel like it, sometimes not)
1/2 Medium Banana (optional)
Purified Water, to thin to desired consistency (optional)
Estimated Total Protein: 18 grams
