Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, I don’t mind what people think of me. You obviously took the time to read the post, so thanks for that at least (did you read any other posts?) I don’t get the Nancy-Boys reference, but I imagine it takes one to know one. And if it means anything, I used to think the same thing…that vegans were all a bunch of crazies, which some of them are. Some are too pushy, some are too extreme, some are gentle, others are rather flippant–like me. I just go about blogging away, and like doing it. Vegan or not, there’s a lot of people out there that are pussies; and there are a lot of pushy, extreme or crazy people out there who aren’t vegan. I blog about my life and opinions so that, if there are others out there that want to learn a healthy way to live without consuming animal flesh or body fluids, then those people at least have a little corner of the world they can feel comfortable. Anyways, ethics and animal rights aside, it really comes down to this: I don’t like eating dead bodies or drinking mammary secretions of a cow. I feel that dead bodies should be buried in a grave, not in a stomach. Veganism works for me. I’m 30 years old. I’ve been vegetarian for over 15 years and I look and feel great. It obviously works for me; I got a hot body, lean muscle and a six pack. Bottom line is, everyone needs to find the eating pattern that works for them. If you’re a carnivore or omnivore, just make sure you’re happy with yourself; life would suck without contentment…you need to feel comfortable in your own skin. Oh, and try You Tube-ing the video, it’s called “Pigs eat Ham”, it’s for Boost Mobile…very silly, kinda stupid, and definitely catchy….good marketing! :p Thanks for the comment and take care.

My room mate thinks you’re “Nancy-Boys.” He doesn’t like the word “pussy.” Neither do I, I was just making a point. He thought my argument was weak. But I don’t.

Any cool people know where we can find the video? It’s rather silly, and I don’t have t.v., but I still wanna watch it…..

And i 100% agree. Truthfully, it really has nothing at all to do with absurd comedy or the commercial itself. It’s the fact that there are actually people out there who think its “Oh such a great idea” to Portray hidden fees on a cell phone with pigs eating pigs. It just simply sickens me at how our society is put together. We live in the kind of world were it doesn’t matter what’s morally right or wrong. Now what, that just doesn’t matter anymore?

Especially the fact that the commercial sends a message basically saying “It’s perfectly OKAY to consume all sorts of animals, oh and other humans too!” … not to mention killing the environment and supporting factory farms in the process.

I completely agree with you, that commercial was outrageous! I was shocked at the amount of complacency people in this society maintain towards something as gruesome as a commercial depicting animals committing an act parallel to cannibalism. It was absolutely disgusting, and even some of my meat-eating friends admitted to being sickened by this image. I’m surprised it hasn’t been taken off the air and the marketing team of that company chastised for such a desperate attempt at advertising.

I don’t think they really meant to show it like that, but really they shouldn’t have thought that was a good marketing strategy.
Of course there are going to be people who will get offended by a subject like that…
AND I bet a lot of people who see the commercial don’t even remember what it’s for, just that there are pigs eating pigs.

acutally the commercial is still on because i found this site after i saw the commercial again today and wanted to see if pigs actually ate ham..the commercial is trying to say that people would think of that as cannibalism. it has nothing to do with what type of meat it is. would you like to see a commercial about two guys eating another guy? NO! thats why the pig says…”what? you think that’s wrong?”

It’s all a secret plot to reveal the evil-doers plan….Mwaah, aah, aah, aaaahh!!!
Well, in all seriousness, it was a way they tried to ruffle my feathers late at night while I was trying to watch tv….guess i was just a bit shocked…that was so long ago, and do you know what? It was a short lived commercial, so i bet some crazy, radical group of hell-bent vegans got real angry and decided to overthrow the commercial crew! LOL Crazy vegans! j/k

Yes, I’m sure that’s what they were going for with the commercial. Nothing to do with absurd comedy, or hidden rates in cell phone plans; no, it was really an attempt at them to have a good laugh at farming practices!
